At the end of each Weekend to Remember getaway, there is an opportunity for husbands and wives to share, in one short sentence, what they will do to make their marriage better.
At a recent weekend, one husband said he would leave work at work. He posted this letter on his facebook page the next day, and it is too good to not share, especially on a Friday as we head into the weekend...
I am going to make this short and sweet. Yesterday I was asked what one thing I could choose to do today to make my marriage better. Well, I told about 520+ people that I had to leave work at work. So today, you are not allowed to come home with me.
You see, God has called me to be many things and two of those are a husband and a father. With these come great responsibilities that I am honored, willing, and obedient to do. They are to things that not every man get to be.
I am sure you will understand because I give you plenty of attention while I am with you, but you are no longer allowed to have my attention at home. I have a legacy to leave and I don't want it to start out "He was a hard worker."
P.S. If you have read this personal letter let me ask you one question. What is the one thing you can do today to make your marriage better?
