I've been reading a lot lately. Emails from friends whose marriages are in crisis. Texts from friends who are struggling with various issues. I've absorbed a LOT of words over this past week or so. And it's left me feeling empty, or maybe "stripped bare" would be a better way to put it. Still, I start to reply, but then stop. Then I start to write a blog, and it's like my fingers won't move. My brain won't engage. I can only describe it as a 'check in my spirit'. But I couldn't really rationalize why.

Then it came to me.

"When words are many, transgression is not lacking,

but whoever restrains his lips is prudent" Proverbs 10:19

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalms 46:10

Sometimes, I think God just wants us to stop.

Be still.

And let HIM be HIM.
